The Lettuce Learn experience is delivered in a fun and relaxed atmosphere within the familiar surrounding of your local baby & toddler group - nursery or at our learning centre in Falkirk.
The Lettuce Learn programme is based upon established research carried out on the formative years of a child where the key findings in learning science are:
1.The importance of the learning envronment.
It is acknowledged that the learning environment is important whereby your child's brain changes physiologically as it encounters different environments.
"Environments that stimulate a child are most conducive for promoting growth of a healthy brain" - Wolfe & Brandt as cited by Baylor.
2. IQ is not fixed at birth.
Wolfe & Brande state that IQ is not fixed at birth...but state that the brain can continue to grow and develop throughout our lives.

3. That there are specific sensitive periods of brain growth.
Another important finding is that there are specific sensitive periods of brain growth when certain abilities are acquired more easily than during other times.
Using technology at an early age with baby learning programs enhances problem-solving and critical thinking which helps to maximize brain growth and learning during these critical learning windows of opportunity.
4. Positive Emotions are closely linked to brain development.
The final important finding is that emotions are closely linked to learning.
